This month we’ve wrapped up a large swath of work for a complex customer centered on documenting key business processes across dozens of acquired business units. We helped analyze the efficacy of processes, the capacity of executives and on-the-ground leaders for change, and the technology needed to implement process standardization across all business units.
Having done this work for some time, we see the capacity for change as the key element in success. Processes are people-driven— there are always local pathways. Technology is a commodity— there’s lots of systems available to businesses to execute. The management of change— sherpherding hundreds and thousands of people to adopt new processes and technology.
