Today we kicked off a project to help develop the next phase of a legacy elevator monitoring product with a deep installed base to move it from 1990s software to a modern web-based infrastructure and interface.
The scope includes decoupling software functionality into separate integrated products, migrate to AWS, add more network tools for trace routing, pinging, and general network connectivity. Also includes modernizing the hardware stack and implementing essential software engineering practices like product roadmap, improved source control, release management, support ticketing, documentation, and so on.
