Today the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services launched Blue Button 2.0, a “developer-friendly, standards-based API that enables Medicare beneficiaries to connect their claims data to secure applications, services and research programs that they trust”.
Ad Hoc is working to develop this product as a subcontractor. I was responsible for the business development, capture, proposal development, and sale of this project for Ad Hoc in coordination with our prime contractor partner. I was also responsible for the communications plan around launch.
Blue Button is an important open data product, a key government technology project, and a great example the kind of projects I’ve devoted my career to developing and launching.
